As an NYPD firefighter, Paul Falla knew the demands of the job brought with it a lot of risk; however, the fears, horror and disbelief he witnessed at Ground Zero on 9/11 are things no one saw coming. Amongst all the chaos, confusion and trauma, his sense of duty was greater than his sense of self, thereby exemplifying a true mindset of emotional grit.
